Marché is running this Rösti plate as part of an Oktoberfest special right now. And the funny thing is that no matter how many times I must have said the word Leberkäse during German classes in high school, I don't think I've ever once eaten it. So I went ahead with this special and found a number of surprises, including not just what a thick cut they gave, but also the fact that the stuff kinda tasted like a finer version of Spam (in a good way) without any of the liver-like taste that its name suggests. I'd easily eat that again.
