I haven't had jigongbao in a while. This place out in an industrial park was commanding hourlong waits on a Saturday night (030 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 #01-30). Thankfully, it wasn't excessively sweet, with the thick soy sauce providing a nice amount of savoriness that helped carry the firm bone-in parts of chicken.
It was only S$16.90 (US$13.20) for that small pot above. The margins came from the add-in plates in the fridge; sure, they were priced at just S$3 each, but one grabs multiple plates in one go, so that quickly surged past the cost of the base pot. It was nice to nibble on fried lok lok from a neighboring stall while waiting BTW.
