Something occurred to me as I was walking through the food court at San Francisco's international terminal: I've hardly ever eaten at Wendy's, despite its long-standing national presence. I mean, I'm pretty sure I've eaten it once at least, but I really don't remember it at all. So I grabbed a quick burger from them tonight, which they made fresh to order.
I'm not sure what really makes them different though. Visually, you get a distinctive square patty, which they say is made of fresh beef rather than frozen. But I couldn't taste the beef when it was overpowered by the cheese that covered it. The things that stood out more were the pillowy (and almost creamy) yellow bun as well as the generous amount of lettuce that I got in there. I must be missing something.
