Korea’s Gwangjang GAON in Singapore

Neobiani

This chain of restaurants from Korea is run by a famous culinary professor, and it now has an outlet down here at Jewel Changi (78 Airport Boulevard #02-243). I ordered that "flat bulgogi" above, thinking that it was like bassak bulgogi. But it turned out to be neobiani, which was a dish served to Korean nobility. Instead of a bunch of thin sheets of beef put together to become slightly crispy, this was more like a minced hamburger patty, flattened out very wide and with bits of garlic in there too. It made it moist rather than crispy, but it was garlicky and sweet. I know that bulgogi is supposed to be that way, so I shouldn't complain. Still, this place was not cheap, which means that I'm not likely to eat here again.
