Rockridge is a quaint little neighborhood in Oakland, and this little Michelin Bib Gourmand was right in the middle of it (6317 College Avenue, 510-654-6607). I was a little concerned at first that the plate above looked like hotel catering, but those fears were unfounded as it was all based on quality produce. Not only was that salad dressed just right with cuts of delicate fruit, but the duck confit was also piping hot and tender with a deliciously thin and crispy skin surrounding it. Yes, I liked it, even if it was a bit pricey.
