We wandered over to
Raohe Street tonight and got stopped by the very first cart that we saw, as he was selling these baby abalone along with some sea snails that he grilled with salt. They were firm, fresh, and savory, and affordable at just TWD100 (US$3) for three. We sampled other things, like piping hot
local sausages with raw garlic, sour plums sandwiched inside cherry tomatoes, as well as fried bone-in chicken parts. But I think we need to go to a proper restaurant tomorrow.
