I was a little worried that this small chain was a knockoff of
Myeongdong Kyoja, especially since the
kalguksu wasn't as earthy and smoky, and the kimchi wasn't as sharp either. But those didn't really matter, since the food was still pretty good on its own right, with the broth being nice and savory, and the kimchi being spicy and refreshing. That
eorang ttukbaegi above carried enough heat to be fun too, even if the lamb taste that I was hoping for didn't really come though. I'd be happy to eat here again. Apparently it has been around since 1978.
