At S$38 (US$29), this thing was not cheap. But I saw my teammate ordering this at
Ichinoji yesterday and for some reason I couldn’t get the thought of those scallops out of my head, so I came down to give it a try.
The funny thing is that the scallops were the thing that I liked the least, especially since they were battered and slightly syrupy.
But the scallops themselves were of good quality, which is reflective of everything else here, including not just the
unagi, but also the rice, the broth, and even the garnishes. That explains the high prices.
