Jiarui Yiping Northeastern Cuisine in Chinatown

Chuanr and ganbian sijidou

Similar to that shop from yesterday, this place looks like it's a chain from China, but it's not (28 Smith Street, 8028-6887). Nonetheless, I was happy with the food, particularly the lamb chuanr, which were fatty, tender, and stanky...just the way I like it. The ganbian sijidou could've been just a little saltier and crispier, but it was still one of the better ones around town. What's interesting is that the small brown flecks in this dish are usually ground meat, but in this case they were all huajiao, making it more spicy than usual. There were quite a few other things on the menu that looked worthy of a try; it's too bad that they close at 11 PM though.
