This 50's-themed diner was a little tacky and out of place in downtown Los Gatos (235 Los Gatos Saratoga Road, 408-354-4886). They were unfortunately rather understaffed today (not entirely surprising given current conditions) and the food wasn't particularly special either. But at least those hash browns were crispier and greasier than the ones from IHOP, and the patty in the burger was half-decently beefy, if dry. I need to go back to downtown to check out one of those wine bars along Santa Cruz Avenue next time.
