JOFA Mee Pok is a bak chor mee stall from out in Tampines that got a bit of attention last year, in part because of its toppings like seafood. Well, they have since opened a stall in Chinatown, so I hopped over there for a quick bite (39 Temple Street). The nice thing was that the noodles were pleasantly firm, and the meat was tender too. But it was also a little sweet, and the meatballs were disappointingly limp and cold. I'm not sure if the latter part was because of a quality control issue with this outlet, but it dissuaded me enough that I won't bother coming back to try their premium bowls featuring things like softshell crab.
