LINA Fishball Noodle at the Johnson Eatery in Toa Payoh

Signature Noodles

This kopitiam stall (125 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh #01-523) has gotten some attention for not just the food, but also the fact that it's run by an Indian couple, so much that they've even marketed themselves as "the Indian Fishball Mee Experience." It's a delicious bowl, with firmly cooked mee pok tossed in a light touch of vinegar and chili that doesn't dominate the taste. My favorite part was the herh keow, whose skin was delightfully firm and chewy with a delicate and savory filling inside. Plus, the walkway from Bradell Station was completely covered, so one doesn't need to worry if it's been drizzling all day like today. Next time I'm back here, I'm going to pay for extra dumplings.
