Yep, I was wondering the same thing: what is a shrimp cheek? It's basically the midsection of a shrimp between the tail and the head. As you can see in the photo, it's basically where the legs connect, but they also aren't as big as they seem in the photo, as clearly these were smaller shrimp rather than larger prawns. How did they taste? They were crunchy but light, kinda like
fried crickets. But they were ultimately just a
delivery vehicle for salt, grease, and MSG, which is basically all you can taste.
