This is a friendly little bar up at Orchard Plaza (150 Orchard Road #03-49, 6735-0763). As the name suggests, there is an Italian theme with affordable wines by the glass and salumi, but it's really an izakaya at heart, featuring banshaku sets with otsumami and lots of handwritten specials. There isn't really much space for a full kitchen, but they still manage to crank out a number of simple snacks using that counter space, like that pork belly steak above, as well as a yamitsuki hakusai, or "addictive" Chinese cabbage salad. Maybe I'll try some of that sea urchin pasta next time.
