The Butcher’s Wife in Tiong Bahru, Singapore

Clockwise from top: BBQ Green Vegetables, Bacalhau Montecato, Chargrilled Spanish Octopus, Dadinhos de Sago

On the former grounds of Open Door Policy is this natural wine bar serving gluten-free Brazilian-influenced food (19 Yong Siak Street, 6221-9307). It was pretty good, with that octopus above grilled perfectly, while those tapioca cubes on the left were fun to eat too. And the prices were generally reasonable, although it was interesting to see that their moqueca seafood stew arrived in a surprisingly small bowl despite being priced rather high at S$39 (US$29). Still, it was savory and featured good quality ingredients.
