An
izakaya is probably one of the last places that one would expect to do takeaway from. And yet,
Morinaga was open, and more importantly, serving its a la carte menu rather than just those big bento sets that are displayed in front. I was delighted, and grabbed a few bar snacks to go with my booze, like those fried
mehikari white fish above. Sure, they wilted a bit by the time that I got home, but tossing them into the air fryer for a few minutes at a low temperature breathed some new life into them without completely ruining them. That, and some of their salty cold herring went nicely with some
nihonshu.
