Here's more from YAYOI's new menu. This one features thin slivers of
gobo burdock root along with sliced beef (there is an
unagi option too). It was underwhelming, not only because of the sweet
sukiyaki-like sauce, but also the paltry portions of both
gobo and beef. Sure, it's only S$25.90 (US$19.30), but that's pretty darned expensive for YAYOI, and I was expecting a least a little more. I can't help but wonder if YAYOI added all of these flambouyant
items on a burner because of the attention it would get online.
