A tonkotsu chain from Japan (that has interestingly made a name for itself in London) has opened up shop at PLQ Mall (10 Paya Lebar Road #03-30, 6966-0550). The broth is a solid quality tonkotsu with skinny noodles, and fortunately, that special bowl above didn't overdo the truffle either. But they shockingly failed to trim the asparagus (i.e., they gave me the inedible base). I still prefer Ippudo, but I am curious to see how this shop's tori paitan fares, as well as its gyu-don.
