South Sea Seafood Restaurant in Subang, Malaysia

Salt & Pepper Prawns

This Chinese seafood place was basically just a little further down the street from Restoran Subang Ku near Subang Airport (229 Jalan Dua A, 03-7846-1401). But the prices were unexpectedly high. I was puzzled, as the food wasn't that special.

It was only after stepping out to the restroom that I realized how over-the-top the décor was here, thus explaining the premium that we were paying. Sure, those fish tanks outside were teeming with gorgeous creatures in crystal clear water, but it's almost as if the proprietor was showing off, as I'm not sure who would pay such high prices for this.

Well, the food was still edible, and I particularly liked a fish that they rubbed in cumin (or was it ground fennel seeds?) as well as a crispy roasted chicken. But there's no need to come back here to pay these kinds of prices either; Pantai was a steal compared to this place.
