Sugisawa has recently relaunched themselves as an izakaya called Amazing Hokkaido (30 Robertson Quay #01-16, 6235-0212). As the name suggests, they specialize in food from Hokkaido like crab legs and potatoes. But we were here specifically for this ikura bowl, as it was half-off this week.
The delivery came with some drum beating theatrics, and the roe wasn't overflowing out of the bowl like the photos suggested. But it still was a lot of roe; so much that it admittedly was a bit too much. I won't come running back, but if I do, I hope that their pork yakitori and salad are in stock next time.
