Bloom's Tavern in New York City
I had a late evening meeting tonight after getting into New York, and I didn't have dinner yet. And unfortunately, the meeting finished so late that most of the places that I wanted to go to were closed. This little Irish pub down the street was open though, so I stopped on in for a few brews and a bite (208 East 58th Street, 212-308-9400). It was just pub food of course (including an interesting "healthy" burger named after Michael Bloomberg). But they also had a corned beef sandwich on the menu, which I figured was local enough. It was a bit dense, but fortunately, the portions weren't an overwhelming deli size, and it ultimately did the job.
