I went
back to Long Phung to finally give their
phở a try, along with a side of a delightfully light and crispy
chả giò. The
phở had a refreshing broth and came complete with the surprise delight of a coddled egg yolk floating underneath. But somehow they still slipped a few strands of that laksa-like leaf down at the bottom of the bowl. I need to figure out a way to tell them to hold on that leaf and yet still make sure that I get lots of basil, scallions, and cilantro.
