I assure you, this was a completely random snack. I just happened to be at 7-Eleven when the words "Artificial Bone Marrow Flavor" on the packaging caught my eye. Yes, I'm sure that those words would've turned most people off. But for me, I couldn't be even more curious. After all, it's bone marrow.
It tasted just like any other instant noodle, with hardly any rich or funky taste that one might think (or in my case, hope) it would have. It was just a thin clear MSG-based broth, without being overly salty at that. I don't have any plans to go to the Philippines anytime soon, but I'd love to try some real bulalo one day.
