Mangoes from Dizon Farms in the Philippines

Mangoes from Dizon Farms in the Philippines

Have you ever bought those packs of dried mangoes from grocery and convenience stores here in Singapore? They are usually from the Philippines, and so were these. To that end, these fresh ones pretty much tasted the same way, except that they were fresh of course.

It's not a bad thing: they were sweet, mildly tangy, and mildly rich, without being overpowering in any direction. Basically, it's a decent (if rather neutral and safe) mango. In that sense, it's kinda like a Thai honey mango too. But it's still the Indian ones that get me really excited.
