I didn't realize until I made my way up to this place that it was another one of those sloping grill samgyeopsal pork restaurants (I can't read the Korean address but it's in Gangnam-gu and the phone number is 02-518-8662). Either way, I sat down and asked for a recommendation, to which he suggested some pork belly mixed with some other leaner cut. It came with the usual huge barrage of banchan and veggies, making it all go down quickly. I can't help but wonder though; does anyone ever take that liquefied pork fat collecting in that paper cup and pour it over some steamed rice? I betcha it'd be delicious.
