Back to the Famous Chef From Jiangnan, China

Drunken Shrimp

This wasn't where we were planning on going for lunch today, but I'm actually glad that we came. The reason was because we got a lot of cool things that I didn't get last time when I was here on my own. Exhibit A was live drunken shrimp, which admittedly was a bit tough to eat when you saw them fidgeting around in the bowl before being drowned in that mixture of alcohol and vinegar. But they were delicious (even if it really was just the vinegar and ginger that I was tasting), along with many of the other things that we ate, like a number of the vegetable dishes. Yes, I still like this place and will be happy to eat here again.
