Ah Hua Kelong at PasarBella, Turf City

Cantonese Steamed Live Local Seabass Fillets

A local fish farm has taken up part of the space formerly occupied by Oceans of Seafood at the Turf City location of PasarBella (200 Turf Club Road #02-K2, 8655-3074). They had lots of seabass swimming around in a tank there, so I had one of them filleted and steamed, Cantonese style. It was extremely fresh and tender of course, although the soy sauce was rather sweet too. Next time I'll see if they can grill or even offer it Teochew-style instead.
