The hotel in
Kuala Lumpur had a Middle Eastern section at its breakfast spread this morning, complete with
hommus,
labneh, and
shanklish. I'd never heard of
shanklish before, but this cheeseball-looking-like-thing sure looked nice on that plate. It turned out to be a
heck of a lot saltier than I thought it would be, but in a good way, making it go down great with some flatbread. Nice one.
