In the course of conversation tonight, our local colleague mentioned it's currently crawfish season in Shanghai, and that this chain was one of the more famous shops for it. We still had a bit more room in our tummies, so we made a trip here after dinner. They basically had
crawfish in a million different flavors; we went with a "13 spice" one that was deep, earthy, and slightly sweet...and good enough to dip shelled crawfish tails into afterwards. There wasn't much headfat in these things, but I still liked it. I'm definitely going to have to come back out to Laoshan Road in Pudong one day too; there were a few other crawfish and barbecue shops that looked worthy of a try.
