It's been a while since I've had an Italian beef in Chicago, so I stopped by this little grocery store on the way to the airport based upon a few things I read online (1120 West Grand Avenue #1, 312-666-0730). The good thing was that they had a super hot giardiniera that made this more fun to eat than the one that I had at Al's #1...and all without over-drenching the bread either. But the beef was also leaner than I was hoping for, even if it was tender. I don't know if I'd get cravings for it again, but I would be curious to try their cold Italian subs one day.
