Pho Tai at Capitol Piazza, Singapore

Phở Đặc Biệt

I wandered over to the new Capitol Piazza today. Most of the shops weren't open yet, but a few were, including this phở shop (13 Stamford Road #B2-54, 6702-1181). Some of it was unnecessarily upscale, like the delicate porcelain and the chopped herbs. But the good thing was that they got the broth right, with a nice dose of anise but without being sweet like a lot of other shops around here. I won't get cravings for this (and the gỏi cuốn was pretty lousy), but I'd much rather come here than go to that NamNam place over at nearby Raffles City.
