Denver's Smashburger in San Jose, California
Last time I was in Denver, there was one local item that I regretted not having tried: Smashburger. Fortunately, these guys have expanded all over the country, including one at Westgate Center in San Jose (1600 Saratoga Avenue, 715-1405). So today was the chance to try their "smashed, seared and seasoned to order...fresh, never frozen 100% Certified Angus Beef" patties.
And yes, the patty was indeed the highlight of this thing, packing just the right taste and still being juicy. Being surrounded by all of those garnishes never hurt either. I'm kinda interested in seeing what the rest of the menu is like, but I suspect that ultimately I'm still going to come back to this Classic Smash burger instead.

Hi, I've reading your blog for years now. what are you doing in San jose for so long? I am in San jose as well. I think trueburger in Oakland is the best. get the true burger with portobello mushroom.
