Tenderloin Bak Kut Teh from Song Fa
I really needed a thin salty soup to sit in my belly this morning, and eventually I found myself here (11 New Bridge Rd, 6533-6128), a place that I had heard good things about and had always seen long lines at, but had never gotten around to coming here until now. Anyway, it was interesting in not only its old school decor and individual water taps at each table for tea, but also in that they had this tenderloin bak kut teh, featuring thin slices of meat rather than the usual bone-attached pieces. I liked it - the broth was peppery, the meat was tender, and it was easy to eat. I'd come back for that.
