Butter Durian off the Streets of Geylang

Butter Durian

We ventured into Geylang for dessert tonight, stopping at the first durian stand that we found to get this so-called butter durian, which was presumably so named for its rich custardy taste. The durian taste was much more subtle as a result, which I suppose would make it a suitable choice for durian-phobes, but ironically I kinda wished that the taste were a bit stronger! Anyway, this thing was a whopping S$34 (US$27), making it slightly cheaper than that S$40 one. Honestly, I still don't eat it frequently enough to know good from bad.
