This just gets weirder and weirder. McDonald's Italy apparently relaunched the so-called il Mac today. And from what I could see, it was separate from the
McItaly and the
Big Mac. I still did not go in to try one (it just seems like such a waste of a meal opportunity to spend it at McDonalds), but I am very curious, especially in a country where fresh local ingredients are so treasured. Incidentally, restaurants here need to put an asterisk next to any dish on their menu that is made from frozen items - I wish we had that law in other countries.
