Senmi Sushi at Emporium Shokuhin, Singapore
I've never eaten a chirashi don with a spoon before, but in this case I had to. Why? It was a "giant" chirashi don served in a platter about the size of a 12" vinyl record. That meant that you couldn't pick up a bowl and shovel food into your mouth, but instead pick up grains of rice from a shared plate on the table (serves about 2-3 people). After struggling to get much rice with chopsticks, I eventually gave up and just asked for a spoon.
Anyway, this was from the sushi shop at Emporium Shokuhin (6 Raffles Boulevard #01-18, 6224-3433). Similar to the ramen shop, it wasn't anything special, nor was it worth the price. Actually, the only thing interesting about this place was the blazingly fast speed at which they operated; our orders literally came out in maybe just five minutes or so. That suited us just fine given that we only came here out of convenience.
