FYR Cycene Ond Drinc on Boon Tat Street

Seafood Saffron Risotto

We randomly came across this place (19 Boon Tat Street, 6221-3703) while stumbling around looking for a quick bite to eat before the evening got started. I had heard about it about it before, thus making it an easy choice when we walked by. It started off on the right foot, with surprisingly low beer prices.

It's too bad then that I didn't really care that much for the food. I mean, I liked the concept of its Josper-equipped kitchen with a local twist (think: lemongrass and galangal in that risotto above). But that same risotto was mushy and nothing that I'd come back for. If I do, it will be for the cheap beer instead.
