I'm such an idiot. When I saw the sign for this place, I mistakenly thought that they did a Sichuan
mapo doufu-like rendition of
local lor mee. After all, the Chinese characters looked similar enough. Well, that shows you how much I know. Sichuan this definitely was not!
Only after I looked it up did I realize that this was the name of some town just across the way in Malaysia instead, and the gravy had a slightly medicinal taste to it. I wish I had dumped more vinegar and chili in there to give it more kick. Those deep fried
pieces of shark (?) were cool though.
