We made a random visit to
Maxwell Food Centre after breakfast today, and noticed how good the glutinous rice looked at stall 96. So we grabbed a serving along with some
soon kueh dumplings as well as a turnip cake that was apparently rather well received by the Makansutra folks.
It was all served cold, which was a bit disappointing. But it came with a super spicy chili sauce that still made it worthwhile. That
soon kueh kinda reminded me of the
ba wan from yesterday, although of course the gelatinous skin was nowhere near as thick as that one.
