So this chain of shops from Rajasthan has opened an outlet in Singapore (1 Dalhousie Lane, 6396-4138). It was a bit like Haldiram's, with large glass cases of sweets as well as a counter for chaat, the latter of which we got an array of for lunch today. My favorite was the bhalla papdi above, which was nice and earthy with its spices inside. They also tended to garnish their chaat with strips of fresh ginger, giving it all a refreshing kick. It was definitely more downscale than Kailash Parbat, and is worth coming back for, especially since they seem to have a breakfast menu from 8:30 - 11:00 AM too.
