The Jackson Plan, Duxton Hill

Crab Cakes, Quail Eggs, Anchovy Cream

We weren't planning to come here for lunch least, not specifically this place. We just knew that there were a bunch of new restaurants up on Duxton Hill and finally ended up here (40 Duxton Hill, 6866-1988), which served a variety of British food ranging from fish and chips to Lancashire hot pot...or those simple crab cakes above.

Yes, I liked the food. Some of the amusement was simply in deciphering the meaning behind all of those English names: cullen skink, Eton mess, and bubble and squeak (I guess I can add these to my collection along with spotted dick). But this place was pretty darned pricey too, thus keeping me from making this place a regular haunt.
