These Laoganma-branded snacks stopped me in my tracks when I saw them in Chinatown last week. We've only opened the prawn crackers for now; they were mild in heat but very strong on the Chinese fermented black bean taste, making them surprisingly earthy. If my information is correct, this wasn't created by Oishi's headquarters in the Philippines but instead their Shanghaojia operations in China. And hence, this was launched for the China market.
