Currywurst is the first thing that I think of when it comes to Berlin. Fortunately, there was a little family run business not far from the evening meeting location tonight (Oranienburger Strasse 6). They provided a pretty big selection of sausage types to choose from, and the one that he configured for me was fine with its firm sausage and fries (in retrospect, I should asked for more curry powder given that it wasn't particularly spicy). The thing that I actually liked the most of this was the mayonnaise, which was pleasantly salty and scooped out of a big vat. I'd go back just for that mayonnaise with some fries.
