We went to Naked Finn for lunch today, specifically the larger venue
up the street this time (39 Malan Road, 6694-0807). They're still doing their classics like
razor clams, bee hoon, and kang kong, but the baby squid has turned into that
jeon-like pancake on the right. While I miss the simplicity of the original dish, they did this one nicely too, being crispy without being too oily, and yet still pleasantly savory. That seared sugarloaf cabbage at the top was awesome with its rich anchovy butter and eel sauce, and I was also quite happy with a barramundi
nasi ulam that they did in a little pot that made for some
scorched rice.
