Sobaka Sarashina Maruya near Kudanshita, Tokyo
Here’s a connection that I never thought I would’ve made if my local teammates didn’t tell me about it: soba shops usually do a good job with curry rice. That's because they are both based on a really good dashi broth, which indeed was the first thing I tasted in that savory curry. The noodles that I got on the side were pleasantly thin and wavy too, and certainly a step up from what I had for breakfast. Anyway, this was an old school neighborhood shop run by an elderly lady that I'd be happy to go to again for a quick yet delicious meal (1 Chome-7-6 Kudankita).
