Lucky Saigon Cafe on Tanglin Road in Singapore
That photo unfortunately has a bit of a green tint to it, although that's exactly what made this place rather unique (356 Tanglin Road, 6556-8228). See, it's an outdoor cafe with green plastic shelters overhead, and it's tucked away behind a beat-up Salvation Army donation center and a nursery where wild chicken are clucking away at your feet. But they serve Vietnamese food, like that Chả cá Lã Vọng above. It was pleasantly loaded with a ton of fresh dill, but wasn't particularly generous with the oil, which means that I won't order it again. That said, the food was decent enough (especially for this neighborhood) where I don't mind a repeat visit just for the novelty of the venue.
