Yes, that is quite a mess above. It's not something that I'd usually order, but I got suckered in by the fact that Sukiya was only making it available for a limited time. It tasted like it looked: basically, marinara sauce and a cheese topping that pretty much covered up the taste of the gyudon underneath. I definitely don't need to order that again, although the "XM" size worked out nicely (it was still a lot of rice, to be honest). Note to self: next time, get at least a double order of those French green beans, and you can always fall back on those yakiniku bowls, even if they just seemed like the same beef but drenched in a smoky sauce.
