My Little Honey Shootout: Portugal vs Rwanda

Mel Silvestre and Little Honey Man

I don't really know much about honey, but we came across these two bottles recently, so I figured it'd be interesting to compare and contrast them in a little shootout at home. The first one on the left is a wild honey from Portugal. I liked not just its taste, but more importantly, the little bits of solids at the bottom that provided a fun texture. The other one on the right was darker and smoother without such sediment, which meant that it felt much more polished and had a deeper syrupy taste. Perhaps more interesting was that it came from a local beekeper who recently returned from Rwanda with this eucalyptus honey.
