Meatsmith Western BBQ at Makansutra Gluttons Bay
The folks from Burnt Ends and Meatsmith have opened up a stall at Makansutra Gluttons Bay. They are doing local fusion again (fortunately without the high prices!), but this time with local Chinese influences, like the glutinous rice underneath that smoked suckling pig above; the pork was crispy yet tender and tasty. He had some pulled pork wantons that were pretty good when they were hot, while my favorite was the grilled chicken chop with salted egg yolk sauce in the background. I'll happily come back for the latter, but I'll pass on the smoked char siew ribs, not because they weren't tender, but because the sauce was a bit of a bore.
