The Tapas Counter at Plaça d'Espanya Station, Barcelona
If you've ever passed through Espanya station in Barcelona, you might've noticed a little tapas bar in the corner filled with locals. I'd always been kind of curious about it, and tonight it made for a convenient stop for a small bite before heading to dinner. There was some stuff in the glass case, but admittedly nothing really grabbed my eye, so I just went for these little white anchovies. They weren't the usual salty kind though; they were in a sour and garlicky pickling brine, and not in a good way. Still, it was awesome to be able to just jump in for a quick bite and beer, and all for only €4 (US$5). Here's to having more food at train stations!
